Daily Music Dose - Tokyo Police Club

Originating from Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, the quartet Tokyo Police Club consists of singer and bassist, Dave Monks, guitarist, Josh Hook, keyboardist, Graham Wright, and drummer, Greg Alsop.

They gained popularity through small shows around Canada, ultimately catching the eyes of some record labels.  Soon after, they were signed to Toronto based Paper Bag Records.  They played at various music festivals, including Edgefest, Lollapalooza and Coachella before releasing their first album, Elephant Shell.

Since then, Tokyo Police Club has played at various Universities and many other music festivals.  Their popularity has increased after their appearances in MTV, The Late Show With David Letterman, tv shows as well as playing alongside Weezer during the Trouble Maker Tour in 2008.

On June 8, they released their second album Champ.
